Continuity Film

Logging on to the computer

Evaluation

This sequence it show my match on action and quick cut edit. My creative input have been influenced by other media like TV shows and movies. In my continuity sequence, I added a narrative where a boy logs onto his computer to see whether to see if Xbox Series X is available.

It was sold out so he was upset until a message pops up by Bob. Boy is desperate for Xbox willing sign up to it. My intent was to show my script writing skills and how I can convey a narrative through single camera techniques. My techniques I presented in my edit is my cross cutting skills when it cuts to the object then to the close up shot of the person. I did it to make the simple sequence engaging and interesting for the audience.

Dream Sequence

Evaluation

The purpose was to show my non continuity editing like dreams sequence and how to convey a narrative. My creative approach was to make a nightmare which is practice for when I'll do my horror trailer and some of shots were inspired by popular movies such as shot 5 was

inspired by resident evil when introducing the main character of Alex and the intro from Neon Genesis Evangelion of main character's eye. Techniques I used lots of dissolve transition which shows of my skill and make dreams sequence look weird and unsettling. I think my camera shots convey it's a dream sequence to the audience. I think the final product came out well and it shows my editing techniques. I added extra shots to show a time difference when it was dark then it morning.
