Media production means the making of a motion picture e.g. television show, video, commercial, Internet video, or other viewable programming provided to viewers from a movie theater/cinema or transmitted through broadcast from cable, satellite, wireless, or the Internet.

Pre-production is the work done on a media product like a film or broadcast program before full-scale production begins. Elements of video production such as the script, casting, location scouting, equipment and crew, and the shot list all happen during pre-production phase of a media product.

Logistics in Pre-production phase, is when you work out the logistics of production such as dates, locations, and call sheets for your actors and crews. Once you've finished Pre-Production phase, the next step is the Production where you be actually making the product such as filming and the then post-production is the editing phase.

Storyboard

Screenshot 2022-11-15 at 15.02.01.png

A storyboard is your roadmap when you make a video. Like a script, your storyboard visually guides you throughout the production process. By planning your video, you know which shots you need to create and how to create them when filming begins.

All shots will needed to be all numbered and mention the length of time of each shots.

Each panel has space for an artist to draw out the shot.

For each panel of storyboard, you have to list what shot is since the art maybe not accurate.

Next box, you need to mention any audio SFX like specific dialogue, music, sound effect etc.

In the last box, mention what happens in the shot because some storyboard art is generally rough and it will difficult for someone else to read

The sound log sheet is very similar to video log sheet where you document the usefulness of each footage but the main difference is that you document everything including sounds, music, sound effects etc.

You'll need to mention the file type of the video, how many takes and if the footage is any use.
